Bonus transmission to kickstart your week.

I have been receiving a lot of emails recently from individuals telling me what kind of impact my work has on them. They are also asking me for help in terms of what to do next in their lives.

Though it's humbling and I am constantly in awe of the situation, I think it boils down to two things.

It's creating the habit of asking the right questions combined with a deep level of self-awareness thus knowing how to live in every moment.

Once you understand this, you will be able to leverage the power of this moment!

Interested in becoming a podcaster?

For so long, I have known that I wanted to not only get the opportunity to interview my own heroes but to get my message out there in a BIGGER way.

Now that I have cracked the code, speaking internationally at podcasting conferences, I want to help other messengers and creators do the same.

I will be hosting a few masterclasses next week to show you specifically "How you can launch and create a top-rated podcast in 60 days"

Karan is a #1 bestselling Indian novelist with more than 200,000 copies of his novels in print, both optioned into major films.

Karan's first worldwide novel, The Yoga of Max's Discontent, will be published by Random House on May 3rd' 2016.

The book, called "The greatest adventure of our Generation" by The Daily Telegraph was inspired by Karan's one-year sabbatical traveling from Europe to India by road and learning yoga and meditation in the Himalayas.

In the interview, we do a deep dive into how Karan has managed to work with quite reputable companies and how he convinces them to take a year off every 4 years.

We also about the healing of traveling as well as his inspiration behind his adventures.

We also discuss his year of "unbecoming" and how you can execute on it too.

I want to tell you guys some AWESOME news!

If you have been following my journey for any part of it, you know that podcasting has literally changed my life.

It allowed me the ability to share my story with you guys every week, (some more than others)

Now let’s get to today’s episode with Peter Shankman.

The New York Times has called him "a public relations all-star who knows everything about new media and then some,", while Investor's Business Daily has labeled him "crazy, but effective."

I love his twitter, where it list out like 15 things,

Including @NASA advisor, Ironman. Skydiver. Dad.

Peter Shankman is a spectacular example of what happens when you merge the power of pure creativity with  Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and a dose of adventure, and make it work to your advantage.

He is a bestselling author, entrepreneur, speaker, and worldwide connector, Peter is recognized worldwide for radically new ways of thinking about Customer Service, Entrepreneurship, Social Media, PR, marketing and advertising.

Peter is best known for founding Help A Reporter Out, (HARO) which in under a year became the de-facto standard for thousands of journalists looking for sources on deadline, offering them more than 200,000 sources around the world looking to be quoted in the media.

HARO is currently the largest free source repository in the world, sending out over 1,500 queries from worldwide media each week. HARO’s tagline, “Everyone is an Expert at Something”, proves over and over again to be true, as thousands of new members join at helpareporter.com each week.

In June of 2010, less than two years after Peter started HARO in his apartment, it was acquired by Cision, Inc.

Peter is the founder of ShankMinds: Breakthrough, a private online entrepreneurial community, with members in more-than-ten countries.

Peter also hosts the award-winning podcast on ADD and ADHD, Faster Than Normal, which is helping to turn the conversation around ADHD from curse to gift, by interviewing successful people who have made ADHD their secret superpower.

Now for today’s interview, we have Daniel Hayes, an Olympian for the upcoming 2016 games!

Daniel Hayes is a top ranked middleweight boxing prospect and Trinidad & Tobago’s boxing ambassador.

He is going to be representing his country this summer in Rio and in this interview we talk about his story and how everything got started.

Currently on his Olympic quest, Hayes fights out of the world famous Wild Card Boxing Club, home to superstar world champions Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto.

In this interview, he breaks down for us the Olympic process, how it works. (Sorry, I was really curious.)

He also told us what he does differently, what gives him the ultimately edge.

His answer will surprise you.

It’s something we have talked about before on this show and it was really great that he brought that up.

This conversation got really interesting as we deep dived on self-awareness and mindset. Usual topics for this podcast. But he went deeper.

He broke it multiple stages for men and women and what you should do in each stage of living. It was a fascinating topic.

I am clearly doing no justice to all the amazing gems that Jairek dropped in our interview, so let us get to it right away.

This is part 2 of a series that I want to do for you guys. We are taking a deeper look at how we can apply a lot of the amazing content we have heard in the 90-days and how to action it in our own lives.

In part 1, earlier this week, we went through some affirmations for everyone. You should still be feeling confident and oozing with energy. If you have not checked that episode out, feel free to take a listen here.

Have you enjoyed the last 90-days as much as I have?

What kind of results have you achieved in the last quarter?

In TICM 47, I talked about this one tool that I have been experimenting with called the intention letter. Essentially, it combines visualization and imagination into an actual actionable tool and you write yourself a letter 90-days from now, but you do it in the past tense.

For ex: I wrote, I spoke at this conference and you won’t believe what happened. I also got this speaking opportunity. So… that actually happened.

I spoke at Podfest in Tampa and by the end of the conference, I had a full blown course underway and I found out that I am going to be speaking at Podcast Movement. Crazy right?

Example 1: I wrote about this event company that we started, it's called Toronto Internet Marketers

Example 2: I wrote that I wanted to build up my email list to the 10,000 mark, but I never wrote down in detail how I am going to go about getting the 10,000. Same thing for monthly income. I had a range of 8-12k per month. And I didn’t hit this either as I could have been more specific in terms of the actions I wanted to take. For example, I wrote, sell the online course. I should have written, "sell podcasting creators course at a specific price pt and will generate x amount over this period." That is more specific and would be easier to visualize. But nonetheless, I am grateful that I made a decent income from launching the podcasting course.

Let me give you a little more context.

I have this course that helps messengers and entrepreneurs launch #1 podcasts just like I did in the beginning and help them get their message out to the world in a bigger way. The piggybacking that I have been able to leverage through the podcast and just the pure learning has been life changing. I have learned how to leverage my front-end, my podcast, my videos, my social media to funnel people to my back-end, courses, email lists, what have you . I have about a big group of students going through the program now and it's exciting to see other entrepreneurs and messengers get ready to present their message to the world in a bigger way.

Because I really go all out in the sessions, they have been overwhelmed with each of their projects and that’s where most of my time have gone the last few weeks. It’s a 6-week accelerator program with direct coaching from me, I throw in my 1-on-1 time and a private community behind it all.

If you are listening and you are a messenger or entrepreneur looking to launch your show in the next 4 months, then I would love to help you out. Unfortunately, we have no openings right now. We are looking to start a new cohort starting in May, though.

Feel free to go to www.theinnerchangemaker.com/waitlist and get on the waitlist for this accelerator program.

Jonathan is the co-founder of refound, a management and leadership coaching organization dedicated to helping managers and employees enact change from the inside and out and former CEO of EMyth (the company that brought us the wonderful books The EMyth and The EMyth Revisited).

Honestly, if you have not heard of e-myth, where have you been? It’s getting up there as one of those timeless classics in terms of business books.

Well, since Jonathan’s time there, he has grown into a successful entrepreneur in his own right and an author now.

He came on the show today and shares with us his insights on how the e-myth framework still applies in today’s business markets.

Jonathan talks to us about collaboration and finding the right business partners in business.

At first glance, it seems like we are pitting employees against entrepreneurs, but I promise, its’ actually about culture and teamwork.

We do a deep dive on "culture" and what this means for us as entrepreneurs and solo-preneurs and how we can look to attract the right partners and superstar teammates.

I get it. You are thinking culture?? Seriously Jay…

It lacks the sexiness of seven-figure xyz or marketing strategy hack over here, but culture, specifically team culture and building teams is a topic I have grown to be fascinated by.

As I have matured even with doing the show, and in my business, building a team has never been more crucial and I get kinda schooled in this episode, which is part of the reason why I love these conversations.

This episode is all about teamwork, delegation, and creating the right partnerships.

We also mention his NEW and upcoming book, "Good Authority - How to become the leader your team is waiting for"

However, if you want to read the first couple chapters of the book, please visit goodauthoritybook.com to download your free chapters.

Thank you to all your wonderful people for supporting and following me on this journey.

Part of this is a replay from last year. If you have not heard the episode on self-love #61, you gotta check that out first :)

--

This is a personal episode. It is something that I feel compelled to share.

Validating ourselves and our journey has led me to realize the many ups and downs in my life.

It has led me to embrace all aspects of myself and it is one of the most honest exercises we can do.

I invite you to join me on this episode and explore this side of yourself.

Jason Connell is a world traveler, a world class speaker and writer who teaches confidence, self-love, and self-compassion.

He's worked with everyone from Senior members of the Obama administration and professional athletes to middle school students and emerging entrepreneurs.

He is one of the most genuine people I have had the chance to interview on the show. In this interview, we do a deep dive on the topic of self-love and self-compassion.

Jason gives us the real deal on how to tactically approach our inner work and it is evident within seconds into the conversation.

In other words, he is not here to sugar coat anything for us.

He also tells us why he believes the saying of “fake it till you make it” is also complete bullshit! We also talk about Finding the courage to trust yourself and your intuition. Which I know for a lot of us listening, we can always use for help in terms of personal growth and move forward to our projects with more love and more courage. So total behind the scenes moment, we were actually supposed to chat about how to make money from public speaking. Obviously, I wanted to hear it for my business, but I thought you would find value out of that.

"How do you get everything done so efficient?" The overly simple answer is FOCUS.

But used in a very specific manner.

It was a been a while since it was just us. The sound of my voice and your ears.

So much has happened in the last 6-8 weeks that it’s hard to know where to start.

Enough about the past and what has happened, let’s talk about right now.

This moment.

It’s March. Perhaps you are like me, things are happening at 100 mph in your life.

Perhaps you are booking summer plans?

Perhaps this year is not what you imagined...

Not matter where you are at, let’s bring our focus to what matters most.

This is two-fold. Your grand vision and at the same time knowing the next tactical move.

People forget. It was less than 90 days ago when we started 2016. Whether you set a new years resolution or not is beside the point.

I am talking about setting intentions.

You probably set an intention somewhere along the way and said to yourself, I would really like to do this one thing this year.

Or I hope I keep myself open. Or I want to incorporate this habit.

Whatever it is that you set on doing, its either in the midst of happening or its not happening at all.

It’s chaotic right now. I get it. People are getting new opportunities, perhaps you are listening to this and you lost an opportunity, which in turn gives that that new opportunity.

Here is the thing, it is nice to be moving at a 100 mph, but we have to think about whats important.

Why are you doing what you are doing?

We forget, it can all end tomorrow.

It is likely, probably not. But imagine for a few seconds that it does.

If it was all gone tomorrow, would you be happy being and doing exactly what you are doing?

Not just happy, but beaming with joy. Almost as if you feel you are exactly where you need to be.

Sure, it would be nice if you were a little more ahead. Or if you are behind, then it would definitely feel nice to be ahead, but are you on your way to where you need to be.

Because if you are, you feel it.

You already know what I am talking about.

You are living in total alignment and you are loving it.

But let’s help our friends that might not be 100% there.

Perhaps you feel it a bit, or you know you are not suppose to be where you are. Maybe you lose sight of your "why" and you don’t know how to fix it.

Here is an exercise from a recent book that I read by Gary Keller, The One Thing.

It’s called the "focus question"

You simply asked yourself, "what is the one thing that you can do thus by doing it, everything will be easier or unnecessary?"

This question needs to be asked on two levels. Macro and micro.

So let’s start at a macro level – what do you need to focus on that by doing so, everything will be easier.

Perhaps it is your career or your business that you need to fix and focus on.

The micro level – is the most important first step that you need to take right now so that you are moving forward in the direction of your macro vision.

Example, perhaps it's making 5 sales calls, or sending 5 proposals. Whatever it is, it's all about figuring out the most important task and doing it.

Does that make sense?

Imagine a zooming in and zooming out of your life plan here.

You want to be able to focus on what matters, and execute on the tactical level right away.

The rest is honestly irreverent.

I found this exercise quite useful as there are TONs of new opportunities that have been coming up, but I am learning to say "no" and having to remind myself to focus on what really matters.

There's a beautiful quote from Mark Twain about success "The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and starting on the first one."

That's more or less what you are doing here.

Getting started on what is important. Forget the noise, just focus on your grand vision (the macro part) and then focus on the next step (the micro part.)

I hope that makes sense and I hope that helps you feel a little less overwhelmed while we are attacking this year.

I have so much to give and I have so much amazing content in the pipeline for you guys.

Try this method and let me know how it goes.

We also learn why Yanik didn’t even care about selling one copy of this book.

(I think they are near selling over 10,000 copies BTW)

Fascinating right?

Yanik shares with us how we can all change the current of the river instead of just flowing with it and create in our lives leveraging both our heart and head.

If you enjoy this conversation, then you will enjoy our last episode ( #58) featuring Bob Proctor where we talk about mindset or (#51) with Alex Ikonn where we talk about the creators mentality.

ANNOUNCEMENT - This Friday we will officially be going back to mini-episodes for you beautiful people, so stay tuned.

How would you like to learn about manifesting wealth?

How about your dream life?

Bob Proctor is a legend in the personal development industry and has been revolutionizing the game for the last 55 years.

He is most famous for being apart of the Movie and book the Secret and has shared the stage with the likes of Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Richard Branson and the list really can go on.

In short, Bob is a pure legend. So you can imagine how nervous I was when we got to the interviewed.

We cover EVERYTHING in this conversation. From his rise to fame to how we got started at 26 years of age.

He tells us how we can activate our lives with the simple technique of imagination.

He tells us why making six figures is not great, and how you can start making seven figures in your life

He breaks down for us how to leverage what he calls paradigms and how we can start re-programming our subconscious to match the results we want to see in our lives.

Man…How excited are you?!

This is why I do this show. To get the BEST possible humans in the world to share their knowledge openly and candidly with us.

Living a remarkable life. We all want it, yet so few of us actually execute and live it. w

We have AJ Leon from MisFit Inc on the show this week.

AJ Leon came from a background in finance and was quite successful by every metric in the world.

Corner office, insane salary bonuses, manhattan skyline, $10,000 desk, He seemingly had it all.

But inside, he was depressed.

He knew that if he continued down this path, he would never live the life he was meant for.

Ultimately, he made a choice and gave up his old life to pursue a life filled with meaning. Filled with significance, nomadic travels around the globe, creating art and humanitarian projects.

He shares his in-depth story with us in this interview and tells us how we can start living our own remarkable lives.

It's not about following me or following AJ, it’s about deciding for yourself what kind of life you want to live and start walking in that direction.

AJ is one of the most passionate speakers I have come across and there is a lot of colourful language being used in this episode.

Doesn’t matter if you are a podcaster like myself or a blogger, how do you generate ROI? That's the key here.

I have to apologize for the audio today, we had a lot of technical difficulties recording this and I was using a different piece of software so it made the editing virtually impossible.

Just ignore all the noise on my end and try to focus on of Sol’s great tactics and story.

Gloria is known for her leadership as a momentum strategist, author and speaker. Her first book, BYOB: The Unapologetic Guide to Being Your Own Boss, became an Amazon.ca best-seller in Entrepreneurship and Self-Esteem.

Congratulations to them for the baby boy and their TEDx on Collaboration that got released a few weeks ago.

In the episode, we literally break down how an entrepreneur or a creator can start building a team, the mindset associated with it and the experiments you can conduct.

Also, you will hear Gloria' story and the power of collaboration and what that means to her relationship with her business partner and husband, Ricardo.

Gwen helps entrepreneurs build their brand and business with help from the media.

She’s also the creator of ‘Your Big Break’ -  a podcast that shares the stories of how entrepreneurs got their big break in business with help from mainstream media.

She’s helped entrepreneurs get featured on Forbes, Virgin, LearnVest, DailyWorth, Levo, national TV shows, morning shows and local cable shows.

Gwen has also been featured in Forbes as a Fierce Female Entrepreneur, The Huffington Post, TEDx and Cosmopolitan to name a few media outlets!

In the episode, we literally break down how you, an entrepreneur or a creator, can start getting media coverage with their ideas and content.

I LOVE this episode because honestly, this is something that I struggle with so I selfishly asked Gwen on here and she over delivered with the value of this content.

Of course, we get into her story, how she had to move home twice. Not once, twice.

And I hope you take notes because even as I was listening to the episode, I learnt a couple new things.

Ameer is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and start-up advisor.

He runs many successful businesses such as Riparo Clothing, 6 Figure Coaching and he is all about giving as much value as possible through his content.

It was always this like this though.

He got kicked out of school around grade 9 and was “hustling” with the wrong crowds.

This led to a pretty crazy lifestyle (which he talks about in the episode) and landed him in jail for a few months.

Since then, we has successfully channelled his crazy energy into evolving himself constantly.

He became a Canadian kettlebell champion biathlon 32kg (fun to watch on YT if you have time)

He has a following of over 40,000 people on YouTube and he is one of the realest people I know.

In short, Ameer is kinda crazy. But in the best of ways. He moves FAST… you will see why.

He is truly a marketing genius and has the track record to prove it.

George is a business coach and his specialty is helping people grow their audience through honest online marketing.

This might not sound as new or exciting, but George is one of the most authentic people I have come across.

One of the first things he told me when we jumped on call, and you guys will hear this in the first few mins, he said, I am not about playing a bigger game, I am about playing a deeper game. I remember even then, feeling so awestruck.

We talk about how you can achieve inner peace today and start creating impact through your work today. Not tomorrow, like this freaking second right now.

He also tells us why billionaires are caught in the rat race, and how we can leverage psychology to play a deeper game.

This is one of those episodes, that really do a good job of mixing in the deep stuff with actionable takeaways in the end.

If you enjoy this episode, go listen to the episode 49 with Philip Mckernan.

You will be blown away from the similarities and differences.

Today, we are featuring Alex Ikonn on the show. Perhaps you are not familiar with his name, but I promise you are familiar with one of his companies.

He co-founded Luxy Hair, 5-Min Journal (which Tim Ferriss uses) and most recently, the Productivity Planner.

His wife; Mimi and him ran a YouTube channel where they have amassed over 300 million views and millions of subscribers and followers on all social media channels.

Honestly, I wasn’t going to release this until later on in the year, but this episode is so perfect for the New Year, I had to release it now.

In the last episode, we talked with Brandi (CEO of Evelyn Iona Cosmetics and it was super tactical. Probably one of the most tactical episode I have ever done about what it really takes to start a business and how funding is essentially useless.

Be sure to listen to that if you missed it.

This episode is super high-level thinking. It’s all about gratefulness, discovering one's purpose and self-actualization.

It’s also about viewing yourself as a creator. And what can happen to your life once you take responsibility of your art.

As you will be able to tell from the conversation, Alex LOVES his life and he loves these topics.

Of course, I get him to tell us the story of HOW in the world he got to where he is now, 7-figure business, world traveler, youtube start etc… But the underlying theme is a powerful one and one that I have been coming to grips with myself.

It’s not about viewing yourself as an entrepreneur or whatever label you have in mind. It’s about being a creator.

And we are going to show you how in this episode.

Evelyn Iona Cosmetics is one of the leading socially responsible cosmetic lines in the world.

Even though they are a few years old, they have worked with big named partners such as Birchbox and Vogue.

In 2012, Brandi found herself living in women's shelter. While there, she envisioned a business that would help both herself and the women around her get back on their feet.

Now 4 years later, Brandi has managed on creating a brand that is equally beneficial to the women using her products, as it is to the women utilizing YWCA Canada programs

YWCA is an organization dedicated to helping nearly 25 million women and girls, per year, flee violence, secure housing, find jobs, establish their voices, enhance their skills and develop confidence.

For every product you buy of Evelyn Iona Cosmetics, $1 goes towards YWCA here in Canada.

In this episode, Brandi gives us the insider look at her story like never before.

From literally starting her business with $15 in her pocket to what it took to get her cosmetic line to over half a million dollars in just a couple short years.

Brandi also breaks down what it really takes to be an entrepreneur and you won’t believe what she says when I ask her some of her favorite books :)

This truly was a fascinating conversation for ALL entrepreneurs, but especially powerful if you are flirting with the idea of entrepreneurship OR you have not found “your idea” to go all in on.

We have an answer for you in this episode.

I am so happy to be back!

We have Philip Mckernan on the podcast today :)

Philip has coached some of the North America's most successful entrepreneurs and sharing the stage with the likes of Richard Branson. He is is taking the entrepreneur world by storm.

What separates Philip from a lot of coaches, speakers and gurus is originality.

He brings new conversations to the table and spends a lot of time thinking and challenging the status quo, instead of simply repackaging business & life hacking strategies.

Philip McKernan is a modern day philosopher of the human experience.

I had the great pleasure of chatting with him just before the holidays and recorded this gem for you all.

Where we do a deep dive on intuition, and how we can access and listen to it

We talk about authentic goal setting which I believe is perfect for the timing of this episode.

I know a lot of you are hearing this, maybe it’s the first week back from “Reality”, but let Philip challenge a bit here.

Are you really doing the things that are aligned with what you want to do and even more importantly, who you truly are?

In the middle of this episode, Philip gives us questions that we can ask ourselves.

And near the end of the episode, Philip tells us something that he has never shared before on any podcast!!

You guys are truly in for a treat. Please take a listen to this episode slowly and think through the content.

It’s not the typical surface level stuff and it has the power to shift your life if you are brave enough to do so.

This is the MOST IMPORTANT episode of the season. These are the most crucial lessons that I have learnt from being an entrepreneur the past year.

Will be updating with badass interviews the end of the month.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone!

Live with passion, live your dream and live it NOW!

Jay

Dec 8, 2015

Considering it is the holiday season,  I am sure we are all in a reflective mood.

We look back at the last few months, our year and see how we did.
We are also excited for the future. Excited for the road ahead. The possibilities.

I have a tool that I would like to share with you. It’s called the Intention Letter.

This tool is something I have been working on and testing on myself for the last year, and it has had some phenomenal results. Perhaps it can help you as well.

My intention in this episode to tell you why I do it and the reasoning behind the magic. It has the power to change your life.

The inspiration behind the letter?

The Intention Letter is a combination of visualization tools and by what some entrepreneurs call “90-day letters.”

Why 90 days you might ask?

There is a lot of research out there that points to the fact that we are unable to see past what needs to happen or what can happen within 90 days.

In you guys remember the interview I had with Jayson Gaignard in episode 29, he mentioned that he has a friend who is a venture capitalist that does not believe in business plans.

When asked why ”...because all business plans without fail, project themselves making money from Day 1 and also doubling down on growth for the next 5 years.”

If that was the real case then everyone would be a successful entrepreneur.

There would be no point to the struggle or telling each other to hustle more.

Unfortunately, that is not the reality. Remember, if it was easy, then everyone would do it

Back to the intention letters…

It is a tool to help you visualize your next 90 days and do it in a manner that is not so esoteric and logically makes sense for the common mind to follow.

It is very straightforward. This is how it is done.

You write yourself a letter with the date 90 days from now. (Ex: Today is December 9th, you would write March 9th as the date of your letter)

When you write the letter, you write the letter as if you were living on March 9th looking back to today.

As you write the letter, recount the epic three months that just happened.

Pretend as if you are telling your friend this wild adventure you have just been on and try to include as much detail you can.

The more vivid the better.

By changing the lens of your perspective, you are going to be predicting the next 90 days of your life.

You will also be writing everything in the past tense. Once again, as if everything has already happened and you are simply stating the truth.

This tool works for a few reasons.

  1. It grounds your visualization.

Instead of constantly looking outward and trying to imagine what is not real.

Seeing is believing right? Well, sometimes you gotta make yourself a believer in a different manner.

If you know anything about me, I believe it all comes down to action to begin with. Act as if and the doors of the universe will bow down to you.

Words are words. But actions speak volume to the character of your being.

Trust me, I love all the visualization tools as well, but I always wondered how I can make it more concrete for myself.

This is one of the ways that I have come up with.

By writing everything in the past tense, you can trick yourself and your brain that these AMAZING things have already happened.

It is more believable and powerful than reading affirmations to yourself every morning and night and having your brain call you out.

With this tool, I was able to predict my international speaking engagement earlier this year in Portugal.

I was also able to predict having my first group of students run through my pilot program on Personal branding.

I literally wrote down “10 students” and guess what, I had 10 students ;)

  1. This tool leverages your FULL intention

They say, what we constantly think about, we become.

However, we are emotional beings. We can feel the energy at times.

It has certainly happened to you. When there is passion, there is love, there is depression, it’s a feeling first, then we rationalize with thought.

One of the first books I re-read this year was a book by Lynne McTaggart called Intention experiment, where she talks about our intention is what guides our energy.

She talks about how it starts with intention and then the rest of the “Secret Formula” falls into place

In her book, she cites all these wild experiments with people around the world sending intention to various objects such as changing water participles, to heal each other and they document their results on their websites.

This episode is not meant to debate if you believe in prayer or not. But if you are going to entertain this exercises, then for the sake of the exercise, believe that your intention will make a difference.

“Whether you think you can or you think you can’t you are right.” - Henry Ford

So let me ask you this...What do you think you are going to accomplish in the next 90 days?

There is a superb quote from Philip Mckernan, who I recently interviewed (Will be releasing episode in 2016) where we do a deep dive on intuition and it gets pretty crazy...He said, “We typically give ourselves what we deserve.”

Perhaps, it is not what you believe will happen in the next 90 days, but rather how much do you feel you deserve it?

What do you deserve? We give ourselves what we deserve.

Food for thought.

  1. It gives you space to dream big, but plenty of rooms to mess up.

Isn’t that what personal development and personal growth are all about?

Pushing us past what we thought our previous limitations were, and onto new horizons.

I am not going to stand here and tell you that everything on my letters came true for myself.

In fact, I missed the mark on more than 50% of the things I wrote down.

  • I did not hit my projected revenue goals for the quarter or the year for that matter.
  • I am not location independent...yet
  • I did not land any more international speaking opportunities…yet

But look at it this way, I had the courage to write them down.

Do you have the courage to dream BIG?!

In episode 36, we talked about executing faster. It is not about doing it all on the first try, rather it is about moving through the steps quickly and successfully.

Think not A to Z in one shot, but focus rather A to B, B to C etc...

That is why I believe the intention letters works.

It allows you to dream as big as possible, but still holds you accountable to yourself, because you are writing it in the past tense.

You are also going to be reading them aloud to yourself every morning and night.

If you don’t accomplish the things you set out to do, you get to figure out why?

Ask yourself - What else you need to make happen before that action becomes a reality?

Conclusion

I write one of these intention letters to myself every 90 days.

Every time, I push myself to dream big, but I also try to write how I did it.

Sometimes, it is a complete guess.

  • I have written down the name of potential mentors before and thanked them, but they never really mentored me after we first met.
  • I have written down things that I have accomplished already, but in reality, they are still a work in progress.

The thing here is not to focus on what you have not achieved but focus on the possibility. On what you can achieve.

There’s that startling stat that 66% of people quit their New Years resolution one month into the year.

What do these people do for the rest of the year?

“ Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.” - Albert Einstein

Don’t let 2016 be like every year. You need to raise the standard on everything.

On your health and well being. On your relationships with friends and co-workers, with your family.

Can you give more love? How about more compassion? Can you be even more present in your daily routine?

Don’t aim to do it all at once. Chunk it down to 90 days and write your Intention Letters TODAY!

--

Let me know how it feels or how it goes with your own intention letters. I am here to help you have the most kickass 90-days of your life yet.
